Happy Tuesday!
What a great day. I went to my first Ad Club meeting in four (maybe five) years. It felt really nice being in a room of creative thinkers and doers again. There’s an energy, and its always fun to tap into that. Good times!
I also swung by an art exhibit by an old high school buddy of mine, Shawn Douglass. Awesome stuff! Head to his website and see some of the striking images he’s produced. And by all means, if something starts talking to you, purchase a print!
I’m working on several projects right now, but two I want to mention briefly here.
First, I will have my media demo up a bit later tonight. Finally! Some of my favorite spots, and the majority are Telly Award winners. Its a pretty good look at what I’ve done, and I think it’s a real showcase for the possibilities of what I can bring to filmed segments. Much like everything I work on, I try to infuse my video work with a burst of creative energy, and the majority of these spots were built with the same team of collaborators. Why? Because they’re all so much fun to work with and they’re the best at what they do! In all, you’ll get a glimpse at my producing, directing, writing, songwriting, singing, acting, hosting, voiceover, editing, animating, and SFX work. Its a Video Jay Smorgasbord!
Second, I am putting together the edit of something Shawn Becker and I filmed last year during the filming of Steven Soderbergh’s “The Informant!” starring Matt Damon (a good chunk was filmed here in town). With the movie opening wide this Friday, its finally time for it to see the light of day. It will be posted officially on Troupe Dynamic’s site, and I’ll be sure to let you know when right here!
That’ll do it for this update, Cupcake. Remember, you’ll get more done when you’re having fun. And what’s another three-letter word for fun? “Jay.”
Later,
